This performance will feature several types of Korean dance. Ipchum is an improvisational folk dance, and participants are welcome to follow along. Hallyangmu includes dramatic elements with satirical tones that evolved into a solo dance representing ancient noble scholars known as Seonbi. This is a festive dance that expresses the dignity of the Seonbi and the frailty of human life. Buchaechum, or fan dance, is considered the most popular of all traditional Korean dances. This ceremonial dance incorporates classical movements from traditional Korean dance and is accentuated with beautiful formations created by dancers using colorful decorated bamboo fans.
