Updates

7/30/2021:

Per Nevada Emergency Directive 047, masks will be required for all individuals ages 10 years old and up who are visiting the library, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are strongly encouraged for children ages 2-9 years old.

5/17/2021:

Per CDC guidelines, anyone who is not fully vaccinated against Covid-19 must wear a mask in the library. We encourage everyone visiting the library to continue wearing masks.

Limited seating areas are available at our Gibson and Paseo Verde locations. The Reading Room and the Heritage Room are now open at the Paseo Verde Library.

As a courtesy to our patrons, we now offer automatic renewals of items that do not have hold requests—up to 5 times for most books, audiobooks, DVDs, Chromebooks, and hotspots. For any materials requested by other patrons or past their renewal limit, late fees will be charged starting June 1st.

Also, returned items are no longer quarantined, so you will be able to get books and other materials even faster.

Reminders:

  • If you are not feeling well or are exhibiting symptoms of illness, we ask that you do not visit the library.
  • Social distancing of 3 feet of space from individuals who are not members of your household is required.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout our libraries.
  • Study rooms are not yet available.
  • Food and drink are not allowed inside the library.

5/3/2021:

In accordance with the Clark County COVID Mitigation plan, please note these updated guidelines:

  • If you are not feeling well or are exhibiting symptoms of illness, we ask that you do not visit the library.
  • Everyone ages 10+ must wear a face covering inside the library or outside the building in areas where people are gathering (ex: in line waiting to come in). Children ages 2-9 are not required to wear masks, but it is highly encouraged. Please use masks that cover your nose and mouth.
  • Adhere to social distancing by maintaining 3 feet of space from individuals who are not members of your household.
  • Use our hand sanitizer stations located throughout the library.
  • There are currently limited seating areas at our Gibson and Paseo Verde locations. Some areas are still off-limits (ex: Reading Room and Genealogy room at the Paseo Verde Library, all study rooms).
  • No food or drink are allowed.

We continue to offer the following services:

  • Browsing (Gibson and Paseo Verde locations)
  • Self-checkout
  • Short-term computer sessions (60 minutes max per day)
  • Printing and copying

Note: The Green Valley Library is open for computer use, pickup/checkout, and printing/copying only.

Curbside pickup is still available during our open hours. All of our programs, including storytimes and book clubs, remain virtual. We are still not accepting book donations at this time.
